What is there about human nature that we need to be applauded for our efforts?
If we paint a picture, we need someone else to see it for it to exist. Magnificent prose is not worth the paper it's written on or the computer it's stored in, if there is no one to read it. I would be delighted if my stories were bought and made me rich but I would be happy to forego the money if my stories were liked and sought.
I have nevertheless come to the conclusion that I am a true writer as I have to continue writing despite the lack of fame or wealth. Inspiration is a propelling force which I am unable to resist. I will, however, continue publishing on sites that offer free to an audience in the hope that someone will like what they read and want to read more...
